world emunah news

For the first time since its founding 11 years ago, ATARA (Association for Torah and Arts for Religious Artists), created for Torah-observant women in the performing arts, held its annual conference in Israel.

The highlight of the conference was the day of master classes held at the Emunah College. Over 50 women from all around the world came to partake in high level classes given in theater, music and dance.

This day was organized by Henya Storch, Toby Greenwald from ATARA and by Debbie Siman-Tov from World Emunah.

The Emunah College was the perfect venue for such an event because it the premier place where religious young women in Israel come to learn theater and the arts.

To begin the day, Director of World Emunah, Shlomo Kessel, welcomed the women and gave a detailed overview of Emunah’s activities. Then Shlomo showed a very poignant film depicting Emunah’s successes in the area of multi-purpose day care centers. The women were impressed with the scope and depth of our work and continued to ask questions and speak about it throughout the day.

So many talented women joined together for a day of master classes in the Emunah College!

The atmosphere in the College that day was one of excitement and positive, creative energy!

The staff at the College went above and beyond to welcome the women and to accommodate to their any and every need. All of their gestures were greatly appreciated by Henya, Toby and the other organizers. This certainly contributed to the day running smoothly and successfully.

We are grateful to Mrs. Myrna Zisman, from the USA, who sponsored the event and who fostered the relationship between ATARA and Emunah.
