Meet Yair Solomon- Director of Achuzat Sara
Yair Solomon has just begun his second year as Director of Emunah Achuzat Sarah. Yair is 44 years old, married to Naama and the father of 5 children. He has a bachelor's and a master's degree in social work and a teaching certificate. All of his professional life, Yair, has been working with children and youth in formal and informal education in Israel and abroad.
Yair began his career as a social worker in Emunah Achuzat Sarah and later managed a hostel in Rishon LeZion and headed the therapy staff at the Chabad boarding school in Kiryat Malakhi.
With the retirement of Director Shmuel Ron, a new "chapter" of educational activity and therapy has begun at Achuzat Sarah. Yair has tremendous respect for the work done by his predecessor. He approaches his new mission with the knowledge that the unique educational outlook that has guided Achuzat Sarah over the years must continue and be maintained. He hopes to successfully incorporate his skills and vision into the home.
Yair believes in the ability to see each person as an individual while considering special and personal needs, and on the other hand connecting and maintaining a view of the group as a whole. Achuzat Sarah will continue to be a warm and loving home for the children while maintaining the connection with their biological home. While believing in the staff of Achuzat Sarah he knows they have a tremendous stake in this challenging work.
It is Yair’s hope to care for all of the children at Emunah Achuzat Sarah and to prepare them for their lives ahead as confident, caring healthy adults.
