Dear Friends,

Every year we read and hear about Pesach sedarim held from one end of the world to the other. From Katmandu to Canberra, from Cape Town to Montevideo. Tens of thousands of Jewish and Israeli tourists are united around the table, to tell, listen and feel that they are the descendants of the same nation that was led by Moses out of Egypt. This gives us a great deal of food for thought. Uniquely, there, in locations so far apart, differences are set aside, disagreements are silenced, and rivalries dissipate. Precisely in such foreign places, Jews find each other and share thousands of years of tradition together.

As faithful friends and partners of Emunah and our unique way, you’re most certainly aware that we strive not only to demand but also to implement our heritage, the love of man and our commitment to society. As members of Emunah we do not hide in the safety of our own comfort zone, but rather continue our search to find paths to the hearts of our brothers and sisters wherever they may be. It is our aim to renew the spirit and to enhance our environment through abundant unity, love and fellowship.

Through the essence and values of the Festival of Passover we are able to absorb energy and experiences that encourage us to come up with new innovative ideas and the strength to implement them. The Exodus from Egypt was the beginning of a process of redemption and freedom. May the Almighty bless us with only happiness and good tidings.

In the words of Heinrich Heine (New Spring 1831)

Soft, aloft, the bells do ring,

Gentlest thoughts they sing me.

Ring and sing, my song of spring,

Through the blue sky wing thee

Chag Kasher VeSameach to you, your families and all Beit Yisrael.
